The first release by this female fronted punk band from Madrid that usually share stage with other bands in this label like Silla Electrica or Sudor. Four songs charged of anger and desperation, with a little dark touch. There are not too many good bands in Madrid, but when I saw the band in the first gig, I inmediately asked them for recorded stuff and a release on Solo Para Punks. Limited to 300, be fast!
Obediencia debut EP is a 4 track platter of inmense magnitude. Their punk is tense, dark, driving yet catchy. Moody riffs with double time on the hi-hat and proper singing. Their singer brings to mind the SADO NATION girl as much as recent bands like GORILLA ANGREB and the music while sounding urgent and fresh is the closest to the Euro KBD sound we have heard in a long time. They lay somerwhere in between the current wave of Spanish raw hardcore bands and the cute punk by numbers of the Madrid punk scene, falling in the cracks of an otherwise boring city. Three hundred only seven inch that so far is our TOP 1 this year. -LVEUM
Holy shit!!! Is every punk in Spain ordered to play in fifty bands or pay the price!? This is rad desperate punk rock that will make you wanna quit your job and off the pigs and skate or die (on the freeway) all at once... This label only puts out hits so I shoulda known my brains were gonna be blown. We're talking DAYLIGHT ROBBERY or a less KBD-d out GORILLA ANGREB, and the vocalist sorta reminds me of Jen from NUCLEAR FAMILY. But this band is rawwwww punk! It's primal and discordant and, shit let's all move to Madrid?! That grab you in yet guts feeling. Melancholic but malicious and furious, I am listening to this on the shittiest stereo in the building and it still sounds like one of the 7"s of the year. Reminded me of the OBSERVERS at their most desperate with the KALASHNIKOV 45 playing at the same time! -Layla Gibbon (MRR#339, Aug. 2011)
