After four previous Extended Plays, Madrid based Silla Electrica bring us their first full-length album. Solo Para punks Label released several months before an advance as a EP so you can get an idea. If you like Silla Electrica, this 12" perfectly captures their sound. Fast distorted, but also super-catchy guitars, non-stop merciless drums, male-female screams and fantastic well written lyrics dealing with anger and frustration.
Really nice packaging, first pressing is 500 records pressed on heavy 180g vinyl, 200 of them on clear wax. Just arrive at home after a shitty day? It's the moment to wear the electrodes hat and play loud RITMO SUICIDA
I always worry when bands I heart do long players, since the 45 is the perfect format for this sound, but there is nothing to fear. This is fast desperate and neccesary punk rock from Madrid, with trebled out punchy guitars and relentless chanted male/female vocals. This'll make you wanna grab the nearest complacent long hair and give em a haircut they'll never forget. I mean this is really fast and catchier than herpesfor a frame of reference you could think about the hardcore era of Ultimo Resorte. Clara just has the best most out of control desperate voice ever. A wound up tight and frenzied punk attack that will appeal to you if you are into early Gorilla Angreb or even Rutto. Eighteen songs of up the punx insanity. -Layla Gibbon (MRR#337, June 2011)
